MC Server Updates.

Hey all! Seeing as how I'm one of the Admins of the fine and fantastic Pivot Destiny server that Kid is running, I felt that I should probably make an account on the site!

To be completely honest I don't know much of anything about Pivot. All of what I do is Minecraft. I've been playing since indev, and I'd like to believe I know my stuff.

Just so I'm clear, pretty much all of what I post on the forum will be in Minecraft section.

Anyway! Let's get to it! In this thread I will be posting various updates on the server. Such as updates to any of the Capital cities, creation of major landmarks, etc.

In all honesty, the server is a mess at the moment. It isn't ready for public release in my opinion. We have many things to clean up, things to add. Like dusting the table and sweeping the floors before you have guests over. Same basic concept.

Kid and I put together the final version of the server spawn just today, and he's actually finishing up some final touches as I write this.

There are four rooms.

Spawn Room: This is a small room that you spawn in, nothing special.

Teleportation Room: This is where you choose your starting location. You have a 8 different options.

Admin Display Room: This room is below the others, it houses signs with all the names of the current server admins. Can you see mine? (;

Rules Room: This room is my favorite. It's quite different than most rule rooms in servers I've seen. On one side of the room are the rules if you're going to be using "Survival Mode" settings, and on the other are the rules for "Creative Mode" settings.

Hello there Sequester. You won't see me much on the server because I live in the middle of nowhere and my internet is horrible. Would you happen to be a member of the IA+Friends+PD Minecraft group on Facebook? Just curious.

May I make a suggestion for the server?
I'm not sure of how many people know this, but a distance of one block in the Nether is equivalent to 8 blocks in the overworld. Because the overworld on the server is so massive, it might be an idea to put a Nether portal in each main city/area, and link them all up in the Nether via paths and signs. This would make for much faster travel because you would only have to travel an eighth of the distance to get to where you wanna go.

I did know that, and it would be a fantastic idea. We have a portal system though. (:
