| I decided to stop Pivot about a year ago, and I really haven't done any real animations for about that time, but I recently did some animations for a school project and I must say, it inspired me. I don't really suck THAT bad for a year's worth of inactivity, and I considered starting again. Problem is, I've got school, Boy Scouts, and personal issues bothering me and keeping me busy. I try to sit down and just do a 50 frame walk or something but I can't get my mind on it. I just can't seem to be able to get "in the zone." This may seem like a stupid question, but does anyone have any tips to just help me focus on making a decent animation instead of on my sucky life for 5 minutes? Any help is appreciated.
PS. I may be a bit more active on this site from this point on. Yay, bacon.

| You have to get motivation to do it, you can go about doing this by watching your favorite animator's animations. Try to develop a style, it'll help a ton. But I have to say, watching high level pivoter's animations is a great way to get back into pivot. | |

| You need to have some inspiration! If you don't have any ideas and ur just doing simple stupid walking or something, you won't be able to do them for long. You have to have an idea and then you have to focus on it and think about it and think how's it gonna look when it's ready and then think the admiring faces of people who see your animation and they think "my God, this guy is amazing!". At least that's how i work........... | |

| Thanks for the help (not intended to seem sarcastic lol). Having some ideas has helped me some with the actual act of animating, and watching other's animations has gotten me into the mentality. Hopefully the rust will be gone soon and I can post my own thread. Thanks again!
Hopefully I won't suck too bad for not doing anything in so long lol
