Hey guys There are a lot of weird stuff in minecraft, weird little trivia that many people don't know. If you know anything odd or interesting, feel free to post about it here. I'll go first

Did you know, with a 'fortune' enchanted pickaxe, it doesn't increase drops of iron or gold, but works with diamonds?

Did you know you can't see water behind ice?

Did you know that notch was originally going to implement gears into minecraft instead of Redstone?

Ohmygosh, that would have been so buggy and.. interesting.

Did you know half slabs do not break current when dealing with redstone, but full blocks do.

Did you know Notch got the idea of minecraft from roblox?

omg Roblox, i was part of that like, when it was first coming out. Good times

Did you know, Mojang has teamed up with the staff of Bukkit. This merge will most likely lead to some sort of 'super Bukkit'.

Did you know, cats scare away creepers within a certain radius? If a creeper comes anywhere near a cat, it will instantly bolt in the opposite direction.

Did you know,in 1.3.4 (yes 1.3.4) notch is going to add Emerald ore?

That is so sweet what rank will it have?

Its going to be used as currency to trade with the NPC's i believe

It seems you've forgotten than Jeb_ is in charge of Minecraft now.

Did you know emerald ore was left in for only four days before Jeb_ removed it? It was the rarest ore in the game, despite the fact that, because of the greedy, stingy Testificates, they were one of the least useful ores in small quantities.

Emerald tools were never planned. Emerald only existed for currency. It still exists, but you can only get it through trading with Testificates.

Did you know the bonus chests contain tools and food?

I am happy. Jeb_ added the ore back in.

did you know you walk slower on soulsand on top of ice than on regular soul sand?

Giant zombies exist in the game's code, but are not used. It's possible to hack them in.

You can become a giant zombie with Mob Disguise!

The coding for them was not complete, though. Last I checked, they couldn't do damage, and it only hurt them to hit their feet.

You can't see nether portals behind water.but you still see obsidian.
