| Okay, I've decided to make a tutorial for easing ;D
~note: all the animations were made at 12 fps accidentally (lol D:) so they look really laggy, but it does help a little bit if you right click one of the animations and open it in a new tab ^^ Easing for beginners To begin, i'd just like to say that this is not goin to be the best tutorial in the world, it's my first attempt at actually helping others... or something... Easing:
Easing is one of the most vital parts of animation, without easing - most animations would just look like crap.
Easing is where you have an object, lets say we have mr stick here:
Ok, you see how 'Mr Stick' has his arm waving?
It looks smooth and nice because I eased.
Without easing, it would most likely look like this:
can you see the difference?
just to make sure you've got it, heres another eased animation:
heres the Uneased version:
"well, How the hell do I actually ease?".... Here's a step by step tutorial. Step One:
Start out by creating or loading a figure type (sorry for pictures, cant be bothered cutting them down lol) Next, create your animation.. I'll go with a flying sort of motion..
Now, do a a very small movement without moving much of the limbs
Now make a slightly larger movement, again without moving the limbs much
IMG]http://filebox.me/files/2jg39aqgh_Picture_3.png[/IMG] Do the same as before just make it a larger movement
Now, do a large movement for however long you want it to, I'm going to do it for two frames Now start easing the stick to stop
Heres the end result
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial on easing
leave a comment if this helped at all
If this tutorial was helpful I may consider making more

| It's not a bad tut, but if I were you I'd use MS paint or something to crop the printscreens down to the important bits. And make the anims at 16fps. But I'm sure people will find it helpful. | |
