Zed's Thread

There seemed little point in me posting seperately to say hello and put an animation or two in, so I thought I'd do them both together. I'm from SPP. I joined because kwts joined us and it seemed only polite to return the favour. I've animated before, but I know we all get irritated when newbies post their anims outside the beginners section so I'm putting some of mine in here. Here they are, in order of how pleased I was with them (top=favourite). Enjoy.

Thanks. What time zone are we in btw? The profile is saying I'm 18 but my birthday's not for another hour.

Also, would you like me to bring my tutorials over? They're not perfect but if you want them I don't mind.

I put some effort into this one, but got lazy towards the end unfortunately, hence the blood and the uneased fall.

Made to mark the retirement of Mantha; one of the best moderators Stickpage has ever seen. She worked for nearly 3 years, racking up 2000 moderator actions including banning, deleting, and moving threads. The colour change is the same as the change of a moderators name colour to that of an honourable member. This one was quite rushed, since I had bugger all notice of the retirement but wanted to get the thing out within the hour.

Nice man, sword one is pretty good. Every animation is getting better ^_^

well I already gave you my comments on your sword animation but as for the "hammer girl" one, I think its pretty good. I cant really spot much, but I only looked at it briefly :/

other than that i like it. especially the moving header thing. Thats badass. as well as the skin. and the forum logo. but the site needs a better catch phrase. like dd.org has "Where the freaks are let out."
and droidz has "Break away from the norm."
just a suggestion and im too lazy to put it in the suggestions box.

pretty freakin awesome! LOL, if you get lazy, postpone it, that way, it looks better =P. anyways, I think you'd make a fine addition to the PD seasonal collab. hope to see you.

but it doesn't seem like the arms are crossing over.
did you remember that to give it perspective, the back arm doesn't swing forward as much as the front arm?
like back in terms of farther from the screen and front in terms of closer

you can edit the time under "user cp" under the sub-subject 'Preferences'. you can change it under 'time zone'

I didn't actually. I hadn't thought of that before. It's a good idea.

I noticed it while watching a running anim.
it gives perspective and it makes it look like the arms are actually crossing over the body

EDIT: Also, you can try use this for the legs, though I don't know how it would turn out.
and if you can look at your anim and find a way of looking at it so it still seems like the arms and legs aren't crossing over, then it could still use improvement. it isn't always necessary though. If you need to force yourself to look at it so that it seems like the arms and legs aren't crossing then you're probably doing it well enough that no one would really care xP

My best forty five frames ever in my opinion. Thinking of adding a brief trail around the uppercut. Didn't add blood because I decided (with help from various paigans) that it wouldn't look right. Background's by lexandr.
